Program Overview

The Doctoral Program in Global Missions is designed for missionaries, church planters, pastors, mission agency leaders, cross-cultural trainers, and Christian leaders serving across cultures. The program treats mission as the church's faithful participation in the sending love of God: evangelism, discipleship, church planting, mercy, justice, leadership development, and the formation of worshiping communities among the nations. Students engage biblical missiology, world Christianity, cultural interpretation, contextualization, evangelism, unreached peoples, diaspora ministry, mission history, interreligious encounter, leadership development, and sustainable mission strategy. The pathway is especially relevant for leaders working in multicultural cities, global mission agencies, church planting movements, refugee and diaspora ministry, or international theological training. Graduates are prepared to lead mission initiatives with biblical conviction, cultural humility, strategic wisdom, and pastoral resilience. The doctoral project enables students to address a real mission challenge such as missionary training, church planting strategy, leadership formation, diaspora outreach, discipleship models, or contextual ministry in a specific region or people group.
